Facilities Management

Customers can contract with GTECH for the build out and operation of their computer system and associated support systems. These services can also include field service support and the installation and management of the associated communications network. Hotline or call center support for retailers is typically included in these arrangements.

Facility Management arrangements offer customers access to well trained local staff with regional and global support available 24 hours a day, year round. GTECH provides staff with ongoing training and opportunities for advancement.

A Facility Management arrangement offers customers the opportunity to spread the cost of the computer systems and point-of-sale devices over an extended period of time.

Cooperative Services

More and more lotteries are recognizing the economic benefits of third parties providing specialized services traditionally performed by lottery staff. Both large and small lotteries have contracted with GTECH to provide one or more of the services listed below. As a contracted service, we are able to offer incentives to our staff, which many government agencies are not in a position to do.

Consulting

GTECH staff includes experienced lottery professionals whose specific expertise can assist our clients to improve their business in different initiatives.

 
Instant Ticket Programs
From procurement to game design, from prize structure development to complete game plans, we help customers optimize an instant ticket program. Each element of the program is examined to ensure these elements work together to grow the program. These elements include settlement terms, order processing, sales force activity, merchandising, and much more.

We look for opportunities to share the success our knowledge can provide, typically on a pay for performance basis.  

Retail Optimization
GTECH has a proprietary program, known as GMARK, which allows us to apply data to a retail network and determine the potential for lottery sales at both current and possible lottery agent outlets. By comparing actual performance to potential, we can recommend a series of action steps.  To date, we have performed more than a dozen optimization reviews. 

Retail Network Optimization
While we have the capability to optimize sales for the retail network, what if it's the wrong network?  Consumer shopping patterns are changing and most lottery networks were built more than 20 years ago - well before dollar stores and many of today's new retail formats. GTECH has developed a process to determine the ideal retail network for a lottery five years into the future, and the best combination of lottery terminals, self-service devices, and other lottery distribution methods (i.e. Lottery Inside) to maximize sales at these locations. The five-year network optimization plan becomes a key strategic planning tool for retail expansion and future solution planning. We have performed network optimization studies for more than a half dozen jurisdictions.
