LOTTOMATICA GROUP SUBSIDIARY GTECH SIGNS CONTRACT WITH LA FRANCAISE DES JEUX TO PROVIDE NEW LOTTERY SYSTEM SOLUTION AND ONGOING SERVICES
GTECH EXPECTS TO RECEIVE APPROXIMATELY €23 MILLION IN REVENUES
ROME, ITALY and PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND (US) – October 29, 2010 – Lottomatica Group S.p.A. announced that its subsidiary, GTECH Global Services Corporation Limited, has signed a long-term contract to provide a new lottery system solution and ongoing support services to La Francaise Des Jeux (FDJ), the operator of the French National Lottery. The 12-year contract will run through June 2024 and is expected to generate revenues for GTECH of approximately €23 million commencing in June 2012. GTECH has provided lottery products and services to FDJ since 2000. In its most recent fiscal year, FDJ recorded sales of approximately €10 billion.

As FDJ continues to grow, it will have the tools necessary to support an increasing volume of transactions from multiple points-of-sale while maintaining the highest levels of security, service quality, and integrity.”
Under the new contract, GTECH will replace the existing system with its Enterprise Series solution, specifically tailored to offer a best practices technology approach to support FDJ with the flexible tools needed to increase sales and revenue contributions for the sports development fund in France. The new system is expected to go live in June 2012. GTECH will also continue to provide ongoing services such as central system support and maintenance.
