LOTTOMATICA GROUP SUBSIDIARY SPIELO AWARDED CONTRACTS TO PROVIDE NEW CENTRAL SYSTEM AND VLTs IN QUÉBEC

First North American deployment of G2S® protocol in a government-sponsored VLT environment

Third generation of SPIELO VLTs in Québec

ROME, ITALY and MONCTON, CANADA – September 16, 2010 – Lottomatica Group announced that its subsidiary Spielo Manufacturing ULC (SPIELO) has been awarded a contract by the Société des loteries vidéo du Québec, a subsidiary of Loto-Québec, to provide a new central system that will manage, monitor, and control its entire network of 12,000 video lottery terminals (VLTs). SPIELO is also one of two vendors selected to replace Loto-Québec’s 12,000 VLTs. The central system and VLT contracts were awarded as part of two competitive procurement processes. SPIELO will deploy its INTELLIGEN™ central system and prodiGi Vu® and WinWave Vu™ VLTs in Québec beginning in 2012.

SPIELO has been providing top-performing gaming solutions to Loto-Québec since 1994. SPIELO’s replacement VLTs represent the third generation of VLTs in Québec, and SPIELO’s INTELLIGEN central system will replace the current central system provided by another vendor.

“Loto-Québec is one of the world’s leading VLT operators, and they conduct their program with the highest standards of integrity and fair play,” said SPIELO President and CEO Victor Duarte.

“They conducted a rigorous procurement to identify the top solutions for their market,” continued Mr. Duarte. “This award is an undisputable endorsement of SPIELO’s leadership in the VLT market, and our ability to deliver top solutions that will ultimately generate revenues for the Province of Québec.”

Built on 20 years of proven central system experience, INTELLIGEN offers stable, secure command and control capability uniquely tailored to distributed VLT and venue gaming environments. It interoperates with a wide range of VLTs using multiple protocols, including the Game to System® (G2S®) open standard protocol, and has advanced communication abilities. The deployment in Québec represents the first use of the G2S protocol in a North American distributed VLT environment.

INTELLIGEN’s Value-Added Modules include Advanced Business Intelligence, which provides granular data on demand for precise market and performance data, boosting operational efficiency; the Distributed Game Management module, which offers secure remote game downloads for easy and quick game switching, validation, and authentication on demand; and Proactive Diagnostics, which maximizes operational uptime and offers continuous network monitoring.

SPIELO is a world leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of high performance and innovative gaming machines, game software, and central-system solutions for government-sponsored and commercial-casino operators worldwide. Based in Canada, SPIELO holds 107 gaming licenses in jurisdictions throughout North America and Europe. SPIELO is 100 percent owned by Lottomatica Group.
