GTECH TO LAUNCH ITS INSTANT TICKET DISPENSING MACHINE GAMEGUARD™ AT THE 2006 NASPL SHOW

WEST GREENWICH, RI - (October 12, 2006) - GTECH Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lottomatica S.p.A., is launching its new   automated instant-ticket-management system at the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) conference in Chicago, Illinois, from October 11 - 13, 2006.  GameGuard T has been designed to attractively display and dispense instant tickets at the retail point-of-sale, while reducing the labor associated with management, tracking, and accounting requirements.

"GameGuard offers the retail industry a convenient solution to the daily management of instant ticket games, while preventing the theft or tampering of tickets," said Connie Laverty, GTECH Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. "GameGuard integrates directly with GTECH's Altura terminals, offering accurate reports on all ticket sales and accounting information.  Its simple ticket loading and brightly-lit display provide retailers and players with an easy and rewarding instant gaming experience."

Developed to meet the specific needs of retail venues, GameGuard displays and protects 20 different instant ticket games, and is designed to sit at a retail checkout or customer service counter.

Those going to NASPL will be able to see GameGuard at GTECH's booth #44.
