With the 2006 GTECH acquisition by Lottomatica, the Company increased its global business activities due to a permanent presence of its employees in several countries throughout the world. GTECH S.p.A. has operations in 52 countries worldwide on every continent and deals with various ethnicities and nations with different levels of local employment laws. In order to meet these various requirements, GTECH S.p.A. complies with the principles of the International Labor Office’s Tripartite Declaration of Principles concerning Multinational Enterprises and its social policy (Geneva 2000). In particular, the Company complies with all of the recommendations in the aforementioned declaration with regard to relations with staff in the various states. Particular reference is made to the promotion of employment and the stability of their status as employees, equal opportunity, treatment and professional development, the safeguarding and improvement of working conditions, safety and hygiene at work, guarantees of freedom of union organization, consultation and counselling, and collective bargaining. GTECH S.p.A. can count a total work force of more than 8.500 employees worldwide. The Company engages in various types of employment relations, depending on the countries in which it operations, and contracts are always in compliance with the local regulations in force. The Company guarantees stability and security in the contracts with the workforce: in Italy the 97,5% of personnel it’s hired permanently. In GTECH, SPIELO International and G2 this percentage reach 98,8%.
